Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2022 kicks off across the city this weekend and we are ready.
Alongside all our usual delicious treats across the OTPC, the clever folks in McGonagall’s Gin & Whisky Emporium have carefully crafted a new signature cocktail for this year. Teaming up with the Isle of Raasay Distillery their Raasay Spiced Pear Surprise is the perfect blend of sweet and sour, super refreshing with a hint of winter spices
… and it’s vegan.
They’ve also reimagined some of their house faves on the menu using Raasay Gin & Whisky. Fresh, fruity and the perfect way to soak up the last rays of Autumn sunshine.
Due to the HUGE success of last year’s signature concoction, the mouth-watering Caramel Magnum Espresso Martini, it’s back for a limited time only. BE WARNED – these are all very morish.
On the flip side you might be giving your liver a wee pre/post festive rest doing Sober for October? We’ve just taken delivery of our latest addition to the AF menu – Jump Ship – Yard Arm. Super local, super delicious, super ethical. These folks have won a plethora of awards in the short time they’ve been brewing. Small batch brewed to be naturally less than 0.5% ABV. Each stage of the process is carefully crafted to keep more flavour in. No artificial extraction techniques. Using the finest malts, hops and soft Scottish water, together with special ingredients such as hand-zested limes, organic cacao and vanilla to create memorable brews. They are committing 10% of profits to charity and brew their beers as sustainably as possible. Get down and give it a try. Available now in George IV Bar & McGonagall’s.
Who says you need alcohol to have fun? Just cos you’ve knocked the bevvy on the head for a bit doesn’t mean you can’t still go out and have a laugh, right? All our venues have a good selection of alcohol-free beers, ciders and a mocktails so don’t let sobriety get in the way of getting in on the MASSIVE line up we have in October.
